My Story:
After training at an international firm in the City (including a stint in Bangkok), I qualified into the Corporate team as I enjoyed the energy and variety of corporate work. I later moved to a smaller national firm where I first met Mercurae’s founders, Adam and Rebecca. Not long after, I felt a strong pull to get closer to business day-to-day, so I moved in-house. Over the next five and a half years I worked in various Fintechs, including most recently at Funding Circle. That role was especially meaningful because I could see in real time the difference our work was making to SMEs - the kind of businesses that keep the economy moving and often don’t get enough support.
In spring 2025 I reconnected with Adam and Rebecca, and hearing what they were building at Mercurae genuinely lit something up in me. It felt like the perfect place to bring together everything I’d learned in-house, alongside what I care about most: helping ambitious SMEs across different sectors grow with confidence. So when they asked if I’d like to come and be part of the team, I didn’t hesitate!

Corporate (M&A, corporate structuring (including joint ventures), fundraising and shareholders’ agreements).
Commercial (a wide range of commercial agreements including supply and distribution agreements together with public and private procurement).
Technology & Payments (software agreements, payments services agreements, product terms and conditions).
Privacy (data protection, confidentiality agreements and information governance matters).
How I Help Clients:
I know first-hand how many moving parts there are when you’re running an SME, and how little time there is for legal advice that’s academic or overly cautious. That’s why I focus on giving clients guidance that’s practical, commercially grounded, and easy to act on. My aim is always to take the pressure off, help you make confident decisions, and find solutions that work for your business in the real world.

What I love about Mercurae is that no two days, and no two clients, are the same. Every business we work with has its own story, challenges, and ambitions, and I find that genuinely energising. I’m passionate about helping small businesses grow with confidence, and Mercurae lets me do that while drawing on everything I’ve learned in private practice and in-house.
I also really value Mercurae’s retainer model because it gives me the chance to properly get under the skin of each client’s business, to understand their specific challenges over time, not just at a single moment, and to build strong, trusted relationships.
Outside Work:
Outside of work you’ll usually find me chasing after my daughter, cooking for family and friends, on a 5-a-side football pitch, or making the most of any chance to travel.
